Answer to school run is walking
In reply to 'No choice for many in parking at school' (Letters, September 27) I have to say that I sympathise with those who live near to Hadley Learning Community School who have to put up with the school run.
I live near three schools and to be honest I am sick to death of coming home from work in the afternoon and finding selfish and inconsiderate parents parked across my driveway and generally causing mayhem.
The lady in Sunningdale Road shouldn't have blocked the street for one day, she should have blocked it for good. The school should be obliged to provide parking.
I have a solution to the school run - try walking. It's healthy exercise and if you are worried about safety, walk with them.
As a child, I walked to and from school. So did my children, and so will my granddaughters. So why can't yours?
