What has happened church?

I went to visit my father's grave at St Garmons churchyard in Castle Caereinion and was very disappointed at the state of it. The grass has been cut in places and left in others, and over my grandmother's grave it has been sprayed with a pesticide and left to rot.

Her headstone has been placed three feet from her grave on the bank and we do not know who has arranged for it to be placed there.

There is a lot of my family in this yard and all of the graves are in a bad state. What has happened to the parishioners who have been put in charge of looking after this yard?

Also the footpaths are in a dangerous state of repair. What about the elderly who attend the services? They could easily fall.

St Garmons is a beautiful church. Myself and my brothers were christened there, I was married there 32 years ago, my children were christened there and we renewed our vows there five years ago.

The church is now always locked so we can not go in and sign the book.

What a shame to see it slipping into a state of disrepair.
