Cycle ride challenge for cancer
I am inviting the people of north Shropshire to sign up and become part of Marie Curie Cancer Care's exciting new cycle challenge from Malin Head to Mizen Head in the Republic of Ireland.
This challenge will allow you to experience some of the most spectacular scenery in the world and get to know the "real" Ireland, taking in mountains, rivers and national parks. All you need is a sense of adventure, a reasonable level of fitness and enthusiasm to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Starting in Malin Head, Ireland's most northerly point, on June 9, 2007, and finishing at Ireland's most southerly point on June 16 you will cover the length of Ireland (440 miles) in just six and a half days.
The event is certainly going to be a demanding one, but the rewards will be enormous - just think how good you will feel having completed such an amazing personal challenge while knowing that you've helped raise a huge amount of money to provide nursing care for terminally-ill cancer patients in their own homes.
