ShrewsburyÊalsoÊreceived the nomination as one of the two British entries to compete in the Entante Cordial 2007, which is also a great honour for both the borough and Shropshire.

In addition, this year has been a fantastic success for many of our Shropshire communities in that all our entrants in the Heart of England in Bloom, namely Bridgnorth, Broseley, Highley, Ludlow, Newport, Norton in Hales, Oswestry and Shrewsbury, all attained Gold Medal standard.

This is no mean feat and involves a lot of hard work and community effort, in some case by a small group of dedicated people.

Shropshire can be extremely proud of this success in what is a very demanding and broad-based competition involving many facets of community life, not just the floral displays.
