Police not showing any sense
Once again we read of the police services making a complete hash of what should be common sense. A total disgrace was the case of a 64-year-old lady being abused by teenage yobs while walking her dog.
After doing what Mrs Blair was alleged to have done, ie giving a yob a clout, she was knocked to the ground. What a brave yob.
But the so-called people in charge of keeping the peace, in their wisdom, then charged and arrested her.
Now, on reflection of the bad publicity and outrage at their action, it has been decided by some chinless wonder to drop the case.
This is far too late, the damage has been done.
Next there is the criminal escaping from a police car. How can this happen?
It is obvious he was not handcuffed, either to an officer or a ring in the car. I hope this is soon addressed with some dismissals of incompetent police.
