Stop your moans at pass cost

I am 72 years of age. I have lived in Shrewsbury most of my life and I am fed up of reading that we cost our council too much money for our free bus passes. We don't moan about their £6,000-a-year plus expenses and we don't even know what they spend it on.

I do buy the Chronicle sometimes and see them at functions and parties. I am only quoting what was written in the paper of their yearly accounts.

The £20 million spent on the theatre would be better spent on lowering the community charge.

The old MEB building in Ditherington wasn't good enough for the new Guild Hall because it was a health concern for the staff that would be working there.

Now I read it could be replaced with homes, so it doesn't matter if it's a health hazard to everyone else.
