Please get your Lion facts right
I refer to the Shropshire Star of September 14. You reported my involvement with the STROWP Walk on September 17 when I planned to do the 14-mile walk blindfolded to raise awareness of The Lions Clubs' international campaign Sight First. For this I thank you.
However I wish to point out to all that I am not a member of Telford Lions as reported but in fact a member of Ironbridge and Severn Gorge Lions.
There are three different clubs covering the Telford area and these are Ironbridge and Severn Gorge Lions, Telford Lions and Wrekin Lions.
All three are part of Lions Clubs International, the largest service club organisation in the world and work together on local issues.
Nevertheless getting that basic information wrong that I was a member of Ironbridge Lions does not help accurate reporting.
