Trying to find uncle in county

I am trying to trace my great Uncle Edgar (may have been known as Eddie). He was originally from Long Eaton on the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire border but moved to Southampton just before WWII.

He worked in a hospital for people with learning difficulties as the entertainment and arts person.

He married the owner's daughter Mary Stanley-Clarke late in 1946.

The only lead I have is that there was rumour that Mary's mother was left a "manor house" in Shropshire but was unable to live in it as the will stated she must remain at Tatchbury Mount, Totton.

One letter suggested Eddie and his new bride may have moved to Shropshire, hence my letter. Letters can be sent to 6 Stanley Street, Long Eaton, Nottingham, NG10 1EY or e-mail sue.monk4@ntlworld.com
