European model to take over
I hope everyone is aware that our justice system, which has been built up over the centuries and used as an example worldwide, may be replaced by a common European model soon. Our own lawmaking powers, passed by Parliament and signed by the Queen, established in 1689 by the Bill of Rights will be relinquished.
The Home Secretary John Reid is meeting EU Justice Ministers on September 22 to consider the proposition to harmonise criminal law across the EU.
So in future if you have a problem you will probably have to ring The Gendarmerie in Combe La Ville.
You have been warned.
