Wonderful weekend at festival
I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed my holiday in Shropshire. I visited, for the first time, the Shrewsbury Folk Festival, held in the beautiful park in the town centre. I enjoyed the market stalls selling all sorts of goods and bought a very reasonably priced knitted jacket for my daughter.
I treated myself to a wonderful osteopathic workout in one of the tents nearby and had the most enlightening palm reading, in which, among other things the guy told me the date of my wedding day.
I was amazed to see delicious old English fudge being sold. I had not seen this since childhood. This made an ideal gift for friends back home.
I do hope this will be a regular event and I will certainly endeavour to come back next year. The tunes I heard and sang along with will remain with me for some time, as will the friendship of all the people I met there.
