Shropshire Star

Informed by radio presenters

After reading a number of letters in the Shropshire Star criticising a presenter on our local radio station I would like to comment that, as a listener of BBC Radio Shropshire for the past year or so, I have formed the impression of a well co-ordinated team production.

Like articles that I read in the Shropshire Star, features that have been covered by the likes of Eric Smith, Jim Hawkins, Colin Young, Clare Ashford and Tracey Higgins (to name just a few) have enabled me to satisfy curiosities and as a result:

My husband's GP has been spurred into action regarding a possible cause of his stroke - today he received an appointment for "overnight oximetry".

A hearing aid that had lain in a drawer unused for nine months is now in action.

The Foreign Office is now helping us to locate a family member who first went missing in 1995.

Becole, our younger pooch, has reacquainted herself with Queen Street Veterinary Practice and, following an injection and her cat friend's safe treatment for fleas, may stop scratching.

Sports coverage is top class and traffic news has enabled me to take a trip down memory lane, capturing the sights of charming villages such as Brewood.

I hope these illustrations will encourage BBC Radio Shropshire presenters to keep up the good work and know that this listener at least appreciates them all.
