Concerned at council decisions

Three news items have caused me to doubt the integrity of Telford & Wrekin Council's administration. Firstly, the introduction of the clamping of illegally parked vehicles in Wellington before checking the legality of the policy, smacks of incompetence.

Not that I'm against instant justice: taking more illegally driven and parked cars off the road and crushing them seems a great idea and cheaper than court cases with no sensible outcome.

But the planners must be "barking" to refuse permission for the building of two, so-called affordable, houses on greenbelt land while also recommending approval for a block of kennels for unwanted dogs.

Who in their right mind believes keeping dogs in glass-fronted, sound-proofed cages for the rest of their natural lives is a sensible alternative to painlessly putting them down, as would have been the case in my youth?
