Everything from balletic Andalusian stallions to motorbike stunt riders will be entertaining crowds at Newport Show next month.

Organisers promise a day of non-stop activities and the chance to see British farming at its best during the show at Chetwynd Deer Park on July 9.

Pat Edgar, spokeswoman for the organisers, said: "There will be a great line-up of entertainment from thrilling motorcycle stunt riders to outstanding horsemanship by the graceful Andalusian Stallions of Substance, plus displays of vintage farm machinery.

"A variety of animals, including cattle, sheep, horses and dogs, will be on show competing for top prizes."

She added: "Showcasing some of the region's best food and drink, the food hall will be a local gourmet's delight" There will also be a horticultural marquee, an array of stalls, an antiques fair and plenty to occupy the children.

Tickets cost £15 for adults, £12 for pensioners, £5 for children aged five to 15, and £32 for families of two adults and two children. Get tickets on the gate or online at a discount at www.newportshow.org
