The makers of Dracula – Killer on the Catwalk say they want to use local people to fill out huge nightclub and fashion show scenes for their film, which will star former James Bond actor George Lazenby as a vampire hunter.

The horror thriller, with hints of black comedy, has a £1.3 million budget with scenes set to be filmed in Aldenham Park, in Morville, Ludlow Castle and the Severn Valley Railway's Arley station.

John Peters, who is promoting the film, said: "We want local people to get in contact about being extras and we'll be taking on a substantial number. We also want to hire local caterers for while we're filming for the 50 to 60 crew and cast members.

"We are currently talking to the SVR about our plans for the dramatic opening scene, which takes place on a railway platform. We hope to start filming in May."

Anyone interested should be aged over 18. They should send full contact details and some information about themselves, including their age, and current full length photo to the production team at info@gapictures.com

The producers are particularly interested in those who have any form of acting experience or modelling.

Mr Peters said he hoped the film would promote Shropshire when it reaches internet services such as Netflix.
