The picture was taken by Steve Fox of Clee Hill from Angel Bank at Bitterley, near Ludlow. Mr Fox took the picture on Saturday, the summer solstice.

The sunny weather is a boost coming at the start of Wimbledon, and people across Shropshire were able to bask in sunny weather yesterday.

But such picturesque scenes may not last for long, with rain expected to hit Shropshire by the end of the week.

Today people were enjoying sunny spells with highs of 20C (68F), while Wednesday and Thursday will be cloudy but temperatures are not expected to drop.

Rain is likely to come on Friday and the mercury will peak at 19C (66F).
