But Chambers believes they can put that all behind them with a win tomorrow ahead of trips to Gateshead on Monday and Whitby the following Saturday.
"We've got a tough week, and if we can come through the next seven days with a positive points return, then I think we'll be okay," he said.
"Tomorrow is very important, because if we win it then I think it'll give everybody a bit of confidence.
"There has been a bit of anxiety, but if we win then that'll go away and there's no reason why we can't go on another run."
Chambers revealed that he and manager Rob Smith were looking to bring in at least one new face ahead of next Thursday's transfer deadline.
And he admitted they had not completely given up hope of completing a deal overnight in time for tomorrow's game.
"We've been looking to strengthen for the last two or three weeks, but it's about getting the right player," he added. "There's no point bringing in people who are no better than what you have got.
"I can't rule out getting someone in for tomorrow, although it may be that it's a little too late for that."
Meanwhile, Chambers' rallying call has been backed up by skipper Steve Palmer, who is hoping to return from injury tomorrow.
"It's time for the experienced lads to stand up and help the youngsters through and I think that was a lot of the thinking behind the gaffer bringing in Gary Fitzpatrick," he declared.
The Bucks will be without leading scorer Steve Foster and wing-back Lee Vaughan tomorrow - both through suspension. Midfielder Carl Rodgers is also a doubt due to a niggling thigh injury.
