Luke Littler celebrates passing his driving test at the first attempt
The reigning world champion had to take his driving theory test six times before passing.
Luke Littler will be able to drive himself to the Grand Slam of Darts this weekend after passing his practical driving test at the first attempt.
Earlier this year the 18-year-old struggled to master the Highway Code and needed at least six attempts to pass his driving theory test – eventually overcoming that hurdle in September.
The reigning world champion had no such problems in the practical test as he passed first time with zero driving faults.
“Get innnn,” Littler posted on Instagram. “First time and 0 minors.”
Littler, who has won well over £1.5million in prize money in his short career to date, had previously revealed he had already bought his first car but endured a frustrating wait to be able to drive it as he wrestled with the theory test.
He can now use the car to get down to Wolverhampton this weekend, when he will start the Grand Slam of Darts as defending champion after defeating Martin Lukeman 16–3 in the 2024 final to win his first Grand Slam title – his first major ranking title.
