Conor Coady: Alfred N’Diaye proves value of Wolves patience

Conor Coady says Alfred N’Diaye is an example to the rest of the squad after patiently waiting for his big Wolves chance.

N’Diaye has started the past six league games – after previously only starting four all season – and has chipped in with two goals and some positive performances.

Coady, who has skippered the side in recent months with Danny Batth on the bench, called N’Diaye a ‘fantastic lad’ who has been a good influence in the dressing room.

“We’ve seen over these last few games how good he can be and the impact he can have on the team,” Coady said.

“He’s a fantastic lad, all throughout the season he has been there supporting the boys as much as he possibly can.

“Even when he was coming off the bench earlier in the season, he was still contributing with goals and changing games when he was coming on.

“I’ll always remember the Barnsley game where he scored the winner at the end. I thought he was fantastic.

“It’s things like that, that attitude you need, for the team to do well. Since he’s come into the team he’s been phenomenal. He’s a real powerhouse.

“He runs through people and is someone who is massively important to the club.”

N’Diaye is likely to start again when Wolves take on Reading at Molineux on Saturday, with playmaker Ruben Neves serving the second of his two-match ban for picking up 10 bookings this season.

When asked if N’Diaye was an example to the rest of the squad for waiting for his chance throughout the majority of the season, Coady said: “100 per cent. I think everybody is needed.

“We all know the season we’ve had and what we want to carry on doing.

“We want to carry on winning games and everybody will need to contribute between now and the end of the season.

“There’s some huge games for us and everybody is going to need to contribute.”
