The club also plan to embark on a trip to Europe to play three friendlies on tour, but dates and locations have yet to be revealed.

Stars including Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez could be among those who head to Molineux with the Foxes on Saturday July 29, a week before the 2017/18 Championship season gets underway.

Former Wolves goalkeeper Mike Stowell is part of the coach staff at Leicester, assisting Craig Shakespeare who has guided the Foxes to Premier League survival and whose long-term future will be decided in the summer.

Wolves will also travel to Shrewsbury Town on Saturday July 22 (3pm) and Peterborough United on Tuesday July 25 (7.30pm).

In a statement Wolves said: “Prior to those games Wolves are set to play three further friendlies during a pre-season trip to a country in Europe.

“More details of that, and ticket information for the domestic programme, will be announced as soon as they are finalised.”

Leicester last visited Molineux in September 2012 when a Wolves team managed by Stale Solbakken beat them 2-1 thanks to goals from Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and ex-Leicester player Richard Stearman.

Only Carl Ikeme and David Edwards remain in the Wolves squad from the 18 that day, with Stearman technically now having returned to Fulham

Vardy, Kasper Schmeichel, Wes Morgan, Danny Drinkwater and Andy King featured for Leicester, as did current Wolves man Ben Marshall.

Wolves' last visit to Peterborough's London Road came during their 2013/14 League One campaign. Michael Bostwick scored for Posh in a 1-0 win.

And Wolves last visited Greenhous Meadow for a pre-season friendly two years ago. Nouha Dicko scored in a 1-1 draw for Kenny Jackett's team.
