Dominic Iorfa wants to kick on at Wolves
With less than a year in the senior game, Wolves defender Dominic Iorfa knows he has not achieved anything yet.
The highly-rated right-back capped a string of rave reviews from impressive performances by signing a new three-and-a-half year contract yesterday.
But he's determined to remain grounded and keep improving. With England honours and Premier League football forecast in his future, the 20-year-old does not plan on slowing down anytime soon.
Iorfa joined the youth-set-up from Southend in 2013 and made his senior debut against Bournemouth last December.
He said: "The last 12 months have gone really well for me. From where I was to where I am now, with the amount of games I've played for Wolves and being in the England set-up.
"I'm just really happy and I'm looking to kick on from here. It's been pleasing because, when I joined the club, making it into the first team was something I hoped would happen.
"I made it into the first team and they said if I keep doing well then you never know what might happen.
"Now I've got a few more years on the deal, I can really focus on my football with that extra security."
The youngster's previous contract was set to expire at the end of next season but, after putting pen to paper on a new deal, his Wolves future is sealed until the summer of 2019.
After agreeing terms, Iorfa revealed it would be somewhat of a relief to get back to playing.
He said: "It's been going on for a while now and it's a good feeling now it's all been sorted. I'm just happy that it's finished and I can focus completely on my football.
"I'm happy with the deal but I'm staying grounded."
