Kenny Jackett hints that dealings are over

Wolves boss Kenny Jackett admits it's unlikely he'll dip into the transfer market again before the window closes.

Adam Le Fondre, Sheyi Ojo and Emiliano Martinez have been snapped up on season-long loans this month.

Jackett has brought in six new players this summer, with the permanent transfers of Jed Wallace, Conor Coady and Sylvain Deslandes from Portsmouth, Huddersfield and Caen respectively.

Wolves continue to be linked with new signings, with Crystal Palace midfielder Jonny Williams rumoured to be another loan target.

But Jackett suggested their summer dealings were over.

"Is it likely that we'll bring any players in before the window on September 1? No it's not likely," he said.

"We're always looking to strengthen and that is an ongoing process.

"We have, we feel, good competition and cover for every single position.

"That's a good thing and we've built up to the start of this season to be as strong as we possibly can."

Outgoing deals are far more likely with Jackett set to send fringe players on loan in the coming weeks and months.

Midfielder Lee Evans has been earmarked for a loan deal, with Wolves overloaded with players in that position.

Jackett added: "In terms of players going out, the only ones really that are possibly going out are ones that are maybe on the fringe of it and need game time because of loans."

Injury victims Wallace and George Saville are still in line to feature for the under-21 squad tomorrow.

Both missed the pre-season campaign with knee injuries.

Scott Sellars takes his side to the Britannia Stadium to face Stoke City, with kick off at 2pm.

Jackett said: "They'll play on Saturday. It's good we've got an under-21 game on Saturday. It's an excellent game for them to play in against Stoke on their main ground."
