Fans can help Wolves end the slump – Danny Graham
Striker Danny Graham claims the fans have a massive part to play if Wolves are to halt their slide against Bournemouth on Saturday.
The Sunderland loanee believes the backing of the Molineux faithful will be needed "more than ever" against the in-form Cherries, with Wolves seeking to end a four-game losing run.
Graham, who has played in the 3-0 home loss to Nottingham Forest and Saturday's 4-0 setback at Brentford, acknowledges performances have been unacceptable but believes it is imperative the club maintain a united front.
"We all need to stick together," he said. "We know it wasn't nice for fans who travelled all the way to Brentford to see the game and we hold our hands up for that.
"We need them more than ever at the minute, especially at home on Saturday against a good Bournemouth team."
He went on: "The fans are going to be massive for us.
"We know they pay good money to travel up and down the country to see us and the last two games have not been acceptable.
"As players we know that and hopefully the fans are aware that we know that. I am sure they will come out in their numbers again, like they did at the Forest game, and get behind us.
"Hopefully we can send them home with three points and start off a decent run."
Graham is still searching for his first goal in a Wolves shirt but came close when he hit the bar early in last Saturday's defeat at Griffin Park.
While the 29-year-old is eager to break his own duck, he admits any goal will do for Wolves at present as the team look to end a goal drought which stretches back 307 minutes.
"It would be nice to have a few chances and to get a goal or two," he said.
"But it doesn't matter who gets the goals – an own goal would do the job if it got us off and running again.
"With the players we have got going forward and the threat we can carry in the attacking third I am confident those chances will come."
"It maybe needed that header to hit the bar and go in and that could have got us off and running."
