New Wolves signing Tommy Rowe a fan of Molineux support
Tommy Rowe today insisted he can't wait to sample the "spectacular" Molineux atmosphere as a Wolves player as he vowed to be Kenny Jackett's flexible friend.
The 25-year-old former Peterborough captain scored at Molineux as a Posh player on Boxing Day 2012 in a 3-0 away win in what proved to be one of the final nails in Stale Solbakken's coffin, before being on the losing side in April as Wolves won 2-0.
Now he is looking forward to having the support of a Molineux in full voice behind him.
"I can't wait to play in front of the fans," said Rowe.
"I've played at Molineux a few times and the atmosphere is always spectacular.
"To have those fans behind me now is something I'm really looking forward to.
"We've had some good games against Wolves over the last couple of years including in the Championship when we had a great day and I managed to score."
Rowe can play left-back, left wing or central midfield, and, although head coach Jackett sees the former Stockport man operating mostly in the last of those roles, the Mancunian is happy to play wherever he's needed.
"I had an initial chat with the gaffer just about football and where I'm comfortable and where he sees me fitting in," said Rowe, who is set to become a father for the second time this summer.
"I've played left-back and left-wing in my career and have been something of a utility player at times.
"I've always just looked at working hard and giving my all and if I do that again at Wolves, hopefully I'll get picked."
