Wolves weigh up loan move

Wolves could yet make a beat-the-deadline signing before the loan window shuts on Thursday, Kenny Jackett hinted today.

Head coach Jackett has targets in mind should he need to make a move – most likely in the case of injuries.

And he suggested he could move for another attack-minded player if he feels Wolves are going to be left light on numbers between now and the end of the season.

"There won't be anybody coming in before tonight," said Jackett ahead of this evening's visit of Colchester.

"If a player we like becomes available and we can look at him on loan, that would be a reason. And if we suddenly get injuries we still have a couple of days to sign someone. They'd be the two circumstances.

"Sometimes it's best to go with your own players but it's not a massive squad and if we were two or three men down, all of a sudden we may need to move.

"We're probably quite well covered in defence," he said. "In midfield and forwards, we're maybe looking for a player variable between the two in a 4-3-3 system.

"We'll keep looking to see who's available."
