The 24-year-old Millwall wideman's move to Molineux was due to be completed today after finishing his medical, initially on a 93-day loan with a view to a permanent six-figure move in the January transfer window.

Head coach Jackett said: "I'm excited at bringing him in because he adds a lot, particularly down the right.

"His delivery and quality of crosses will be an asset and he generally features very highly for assists.

"His ball retention is good, but his predominant strength is as a winger, going past players and getting crosses in."

Henry has a habit of getting off to memorable starts at clubs.

He scored on his full Reading debut, marked his first home game on loan at Millwall with a 35-yard goal against Swindon, and celebrated his permanent move to the New Den by setting up all four goals on his home debut against Hull in a 4–0 victory.

Jackett said: "If you're on loan, you need to settle quickly so I hope he brings a lot to us and both create and score goals."

Jackett believes Henry will provide the experience Wolves have missed at times in the wide right position.

"We've been short in the wide areas and James gives us good competition there," he said.

"He has a lot of quality and he's done well over the last few seasons at Championship level.

"His games record and his experience level are good and it's a great opportunity coming to a club of this size.

"His best years are ahead of him."
