Former Wolves defender Scott Golbourne features on trial for Shrewsbury Town
Former Wolves defender Scott Golbourne is understood to be Shrewsbury Town's trialist in today's Central League Cup tie against AFC Bournemouth.
The 30-year-old is believed to have been training with Town in recent days.
Golbourne is a left-back, a position Sam Ricketts is thought to be looking to add strength to in the January window.
Golbourne played in makeshift Salop side against the Premier League Cherries in the semi-final tie at Montgomery Waters Meadow.
The former Bristol City man began his career with the Robins and was a team-mate of Ricketts during his three-year spell at Wolves between 2013 and 2016, where he played 87 times.
He then returned to City for two seasons in the Championship, which included a loan in League One with MK Dons last season.
Golbourne has been without a club this season.
