Town looked on their way to a fine 2-1 win against high-flying Posh, who had lost just once on the road all season.

Goals from star duo Greg Docherty and Fejiri Okenabirhie, either side of Matt Godden's leveller, had done the damage.

But defender Rhys Bennett popped up in the 91st minute from a poorly defended corner to convert for Salop heartbreak.

Ricketts felt the awarding of the set-piece was contentious. He said: "It should've been three points, really,

"To concede in injury time is obviously bitterly disappointment, the way of the goal also, switching off quickly from a corner.

"Was it a corner? Highly, highly debatable whether it was in the first place.

"You can't waste time arguing with the referee. You need to sort it and react to that, stop the short one or if the ball comes in our first contact needs to be better to get it out the box and we win the game.

"I'm really disappointed, but it's a good point against one of the best in the league."

Town improved after the break and were on top against the visitors, littered with attacking talent.

Top scorer Okenabirhie's 10th goal of the season, a stunning composed finish from the tightest of left angles, looked to be the difference between the teams.

On his side's overall display, the boss - whose side remain 17th in League One - added: "The performance was OK. I said OK at half-time, I wanted better, we stepped it up a little bit in the second half, we started winning more second goals which gave us a platform to go and play.

"We got into really good areas three, four, fives time in the second half we just didn't really make it count.

"Ultimately we've scored two and given two really poor goals away - you can't afford to do that if you want to win games."
