Shrewsbury Town captain Abu Ogogo is a doubt for Sunday's Checkatrade Trophy final against Lincoln City at Wembley.

The central midfielder pulled up in training yesterday (Sunday) with a knee injury and was seen in the 3-2 win against Oxford United wearing a leg brace.

Ogogo served the third of a four-game league suspension for a red card at Northampton and will complete that on Thursday week at Bradford.

He is available to play against the Imps in next weekend's showpiece but is now a doubt after injuring his knee.

"He had a tackle in training yesterday and felt his knee," said boss Paul Hurst. "We'll gave to wait and see how that develops.

"You always have to be hopeful. If he can play we all know what type of character he is, he'll give it a go."

Toto Nsiala and Alex Rodman are also doubts for the Trophy final against League Two Lincoln. Centre-back Nsiala missed his first league game of the season against Oxford with a broken cheekbone.

Winger Rodman has missed the Easter clashes with Rochdale and the U's with back spasms.

"The plan is to get a mask (for Toto)," added Hurst.

"But again there is no guarantee that means he's fit, it's how we can cope and what pain he's in.

"One thing is that he doesn't need an operation so we should be able to get him back out. Whenever that is we'll have to wait and see.

"It's notot totally ruling him out but it'd be wrong of me to say he's going to be fit.

"He's still drinking his shakes, the food is in a fluid basis which isn't great build-up to a 90 minute game."

On Rodman, he said: "You're better speaking to Alex. I don't know anything other than it's a back.

"He started training yesterday. He did an impression of the end of the Klinsmann dive laid on his front and not moving and he walked to his car very gingerly.

"It changes hourly, certainly daily. I wouldn't have a clue or a bet on whether he'd be fit for the final."
