Shrewsbury defender Zak Jules set for Port Vale loan
Shrewsbury defender Zak Jules is set to seal a loan deal with Port Vale until the end of the season.
The centre-back, who turns 21 next month, has recently returned to full fitness after overcoming a serious hamstring tear that curtailed his loan at Chesterfield.
But he is to return to League Two football joining the Spireites' rivals Vale, who are fighting near the drop zone of the fourth tier.
Jules was signed by Town boss Paul Hurst last summer for an undisclosed fee from Championship Reading.
The Scottish youth international impressed during pre-season but is yet to make his competition debut for Shrewsbury.
He made six appearances for Chesterfield after joining on loan but was stretching off and required surgery after tearing 90 per cent of his hamstring in September.
Jules signed a Montgomery Waters Meadow contract until the end of next season.
