The Montgomery Waters Meadow club go into Monday's third round draw with the possibility of matching up with the biggest sides in the country.

They booked a place courtesy of a comfortable 2-0 success against League Two stragglers Morecambe.

And Hurst would prefer another 'winnable' home tie, such as their opening two rounds against Aldershot and Morecambe, but the likes of Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool also appeal to the former Grimsby boss.

He said: "Who would I like? I don't know. There's two ways to look at it - can we get one of the so-called lesser teams in the competition again at home, that would be great to give yourself a realistic chance of progressing further."

"Or do you go all in straight away and hope to get a Premier League side away from home with a big as crowd as possible."

Shrewsbury reached the third round, which will be played in the new year, for just the third time in eight seasons with their Meadow victory.

"Tottenham wouldn't be bad I suppose would it? Something like that." Hurst added.

"We've had Manchester United. Had Chelsea, maybe Arsenal or Liverpool. Something like that.

"I think I'll probably like another home tie against someone we've got a chance of beating and hope for that (a big tie) the round after."
