Shrewsbury Town to finish camp with Ebbsfleet clash
Shrewsbury Town have revealed they will end their Portugal training camp with a friendly against Ebbsfleet.
Town will take on the Conference Premier side on Saturday in a behind-closed-doors clash. And boss Paul Hurst believes the Dartford club will provide good opposition.
“We’re going to play Ebbsfleet who just won promotion from the Conference South,” said Hurst. “That’ll be a really good test for us in our first game.
“The fact they’re out in Portugal speaks volumes about the club and what they’re trying to do. It’ll be a good game, the first one’s often about getting back to playing against opposition and not on the training ground against team-mates.
“In general most of the players will get 45 minutes. We may have to have one or two play longer. Hopefully common sense will prevail where we can roll one or two on and off.”
