Tony Gray is backing the boss at AFC Telford
AFC Telford United striker Tony Gray is backing manager Liam Watson to spark an upturn in fortunes.
The Bucks have suffered a testing start on their return to the Conference with just two points from six games before this afternoon's clash with Dover.
Gray and Watson endured a similar run during their time together with Southport, but those early struggles were overcame and Gray is convinced the Bucks can follow suit.
"I've been in this sort of situation before at Southport. It's not nice," said Gray, who bagged 24 goals as Southport finished seventh in the 2011-12 campaign.
"It's a shift in mentality when you're winning – you're carried along and go into each game thinking you can win it.
"But we turned it around and did that at Southport.
"Liam has also been in this situation before and knows what's needed and will help the lads push on."
Meanwhile, the annual general meeting of AFC Telford United Supporters' Trust will take place in the Learning Centre at 5.30pm on Saturday November 29.
