The Bucks had squandered a host of chances after the break against a young but capable Baggies side, after first coming from behind to force an equaliser after the visitors had broken the deadlock.

West Brom were handed a penalty on 31 minutes after a long ball dropped between attacker Tavhon Campbell and Neill Byrne, forcing the AFC Telford defender to haul him down.

Up stepped Alex Jones to slot the ball past the outstretched hand of home goalkeeper Ryan Young for the opening goal.

But Telford were level at half-time after an equaliser four minutes before the break, after West Brom defender Bradley Garmston's attempted clearance was punished.

Garmston could only blast the ball off Mike Phenix and fall into the path of Wes Baynes, who put the ball into the box where Phenix had made up ground to nudge the ball onto Adam Farrell, who finished past goalkeeper Jack Rose.

Two chances on the stroke of half-time left Telford unlucky not to be leading, first when Matthew McGinn forced a parry from Rose before Byrne headed over.

Opportunites came and went for the home side in the second-half, too, as Gray fired wide with Rose beating away a fierce draw from Sean Clancy, while Telford captain Simon Grand hit the crossbar with a header.

But Telford got the goal they warranted through Bennett with seconds left, firing past Rose's far post from the right hand side of the box. New signing Charlie Barnett was a second-half substitute for Telford.
