Steve Jones scored twice as Telford battled to a 2-2 draw at home to Ebbsfleet United.
But the in-form striker then missed a glorious chance to grab the win and a hat trick from the penalty spot late on.
Jones opened the scoring after just five minutes with a pinpoint header from Steven Leslie's superb left wing cross.
But the visitors were back on level terms within 60 seconds when Nathan Elder nodded past Ryan Young.
Jones restored the Bucks' lead though after 26 minutes when he chipped the on-rushing Preston Edwards.
But Elder again levelled for the visitors nine minutes after the break from the penalty spot,
Jones had the chance to snatch all three points in the final minute of normal time after Leslie won Telford a penalty of their own.
But the Northern Irishman could only fire straight at Edwards and Phil Trainer smashed the rebound wide,
