Gemma Howell is out in first round
Shropshire’s Gemma Howell bowed out in the first round of the Abu Dhabi International Judo Grand Slam.
Howell, from Telford, was defeated in ‘golden score’ by former World Junior Champion and current European Championship bronze medallist Barbara Matic, in the under-70kg competition.
