The 14-year-old from Shrewsbury was riding My Bugsy Malone, a 24-year-old black gelding.

They fought off 62 other starters to take the top spot in The Stable Company HOYS 138cms Qualifier.

The first two rounds of the class at Weston Lawns Equitation Centre in Bulkington, Warwickshire were well fought out.

Six combinations made it through to the Matthew Hoskins designed final jump-off.

Freeman was the last rider to go and after seening the combination before them produce a treble clear, they knew that only a fast and accurate round would do.

But Freeman held her nerve in impressive fashion, riding with pace and precision to secure her treble clear in a winning time of 47.67 seconds.
