Pryce, who spent the best part of a decade between the sticks at Greenfields and is the goalkeeping coach at Telford, volunteered his help.

He watched the Bucks put six past Drayton's young Ukrainian shot-stopper Olehsanddr Ilshenko in midweek.

Drayton host Lincoln United tomorrow and are keen to find an experienced custodian to step in for regular No 1 Danny Read, who is sidelined by injury.

Drayton manager Dorian Garner said: "It was a really generous gesture and we thank him and Telford for their help.

"I've already been in touch with a player 'Prycie' recommended as a possible replacement for our regular man, Danny Read, who we've just been told could be out for another fortnight.

"Sadly, young Ilshenko, whose done well for us since Read's operation, had a nightmare night against Telford. They continually played on his inexperience and it sapped his confidence.

"It brought them three, probably four goals that I think he would normally have saved."

Two former players, Chris Peel and Mattie Cohen, have rejoined the club while Calvin Haughton is fit for a recall tomorrow.
