Kenny Jackett refusing to close door on Wolves return for Kevin Doyle
Wolves today refused to shut the door on Kevin Doyle.
The 30-year-old forward joined Championship QPR on loan until the end of the season and marked his debut with a goal in a 3-3 draw against promotion rivals Burnley last Saturday.
Doyle is one of 11 Wolves players currently out on loan and will have another year left on his contract in the summer.
Head coach Kenny Jackett said: "I'm sure there will be an assessment made at the end of the season.
"It will depend on where QPR are, how he plays and how many times he plays.
"But I don't think we should close the door at all. We'd be foolish to at the moment and, judging him as a person, he's a top pro and a very good lad.
"It really depends on what happens to both clubs over the next three months, plus Kevin's form and what QPR think of him, also what he thinks of them and what other options he has.
If they get into the Premier League, I'm sure they will have a lot more options than if they don't."
