Kenny Jackett today geared up for tonight's David vs Goliath showdown, with the Wolves boss warning Walsall are "coming to knock us off our perch".

The Molineux head coach kicked off the club's double derby week admitting the Saddlers and Shrewsbury will revel in their underdog status in the League One clashes.

"They want to knock us off our perch," said Jackett, whose team are seeking their sixth straight league win tonight.

"It sets Wolves up as the big club and Walsall and Shrewsbury as the smaller ones, the underdogs. It does change the dynamic because we have to be ready for that and be aware of it."

But Jackett insisted his players are well aware of how wound up the opposition will be.

"We've been aware of that all season," he said. "We know the motivation of the opposition is very high, but we have to get our own performances right."

Wolves have rattled in 16 goals in winning their last six games including the Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie against tonight's opponents. And Jackett has vowed to carry on attacking.

"We're setting out to attack and there are a high number of chances being created at both ends," he said. "I'm sure that will continue."
