Ford's Nigel Bound, who was due to play at No 9 in the home leg at Pontesbury, has withdrawn from the side.
"For family reasons, Nigel hasn't been able to get in as much practice as he would like and we always look for them to get in eight to 10 hours for a county game," said John Nash, one of the 'gang of four' selectors.
"He said it wouldn't be fair on the rest of the team for him to play when he wasn't fully prepared and we appreciate his honesty on that,"
The selectors will make a late decision on which of the five home reserves – Castlefields trio Paul Williams, Dave Hoffman and Keith Walton as well as Chester Road's Andy Duckett and Tony Rhodes of St Georges – will be called up.
The winner of Sunday's clash will top section four and progress to the semi-finals of the Crosfield Cup.
