Shropshire judoka Gemma Howell has been named in a seven-strong GB squad that will travel to Russia for the Moscow Grand Slam at the end of the month.
The Russian showpiece is one of four Grand Slam events and also one of the top fixtures on the calendar for many of the world's strongest judo nations.
Howell, from Telford, will make the trip east for the event on May 28-29 and will then stay on in Moscow for a training camp that runs until Thursday, June 2.
The 20-year-old will be competing in the under-57kgs weight category.
