Dragons ready to join the elite

St Georges may be about to lose their Furrows Shropshire Premier League crown to Castlefields, but they are still on the up in the bowls world.

The Telford giants secured promotion to the premier division of the Midland Super League last night - despite losing.

They were beaten away by just eight chalks by first division rivals Woodfield B but, due to other results, they are assured of joining the elite next year along with Moseley C.
