The scheme for the development in Baschurch has been submitted to Shropshire Council for the Shropshire Stone and Granite yard on Station Road.

The landowner had already submitted plans for the commercial site for the workshops and parking on part of the land and for nine homes.

But the new plans are for an extra 34 homes to be built, including 19, three bedroom, 14 four bedroom and one two bedroom homes, bringing the total number of properties to 43.

A report by planning consultants says the scheme would also include open space.

It says Baschurch has amenities including shops and schools and says the houses would be set back from the nearby railway line.

Shropshire Council will decide on the application at a later date.
