Severn Trent Water accused of 'incompetence' over Limekiln Bank works
A water company should apologise for delays to the completion of major traffic island improvements, according to council bosses.
Senior Telford & Wrekin councillors are accusing Severn Trent Water of "incompetence" over issues at Limekiln Bank, including problems with diversion routes.
Councillors want the company's chief executive Liv Garfield to attend tomorrow's full council meeting to explain reasons behind the problems.
Severn Trent said the work would finish by December 5 and Ms Garfield would not meet the council until the project had been completed.
Limekiln Bank is among six roundabouts in Telford being upgraded as part of a £12 million roadworks scheme.
But the project, which should have been completed in July, is still ongoing.
Council bosses have claimed the delays mean work to upgrade the roundabout cannot take place until Severn Trent has finished its part of the scheme.
