As the rain came down and snow turned to ice, drivers were faced with problems on the region's roads, including one in Ironbridge.

A black Ford Focus suffered front end damage following the incident in Lincoln Hill.

No one was hurt in the incident, and the road was re-opened just after 1pm.

Councillor for the area Nicola Lowery took to Twitter to warn people of the weather conditions on the areas roads.

She said: "Lincoln Hill in Ironbridge now reopen after car accident.

"Thankfully no one was hurt but the roads are extremely slippery and there’s lots of surface water so take care everyone."
