Willey Village Hall near Broseley will be opening the doors for their conker and curry night, which was last hosted in the village in 2019.

The event on Saturday, October 28, starts at 7pm and will see trophies awarded for the winners of the adult and junior conker games, which are set to be played to the ancient English rules.

Participants will be offered a choice of four curries or cheese and beans served with a baked potato during the evening.

It costs £8.50 per adult and £5 for the under 16's with all proceeds going to Willey Village Hall.

Anne Skinner, secretary, said: "Everyone is welcome and children, in particular, can enjoy the pumpkin carving and dressing up at this event.

"Attendees are asked to bring their own drinks and glasses to keep the cost down."

She added anybody that wanted to attend should please visit Downes the greengrocers in Broseley or email Vanessa on vanessalee@wildenestates.co.uk
