Woman who drove Audi in village high street with no insurance avoids driving ban

A woman with six points already on her licence has avoided a driving ban after magistrates accepted her plea that to lose her licence would cause exceptional hardship.

Shareen Ranshi, aged 31, of Providence Row, Bilston, had admitted driving an Audi A3 without insurance in High Street, Albrighton, on October 5, 2022.

Giving her own mitigation in front of magistrates in Telford on Wednesday, Ranshi said she needed a car to take her five-year-old son to regular appointments.
