Smoking washing machine sparks Telford house fire fears
A smoking washing machine led to two fire engines beings sent to a Telford home over fears the property was on fire.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said it was called out at around 2pm on Monday after receiving calls reporting a house fire at Barkers Court.
When they arrived, firefighters discovered the call-out was a false alarm caused by smoke coming from a washing machine.
