And it is already making plans to extend its services in Telford and recruit new members.

Sue Harris, who chairs the group, said: " At the beginning of April we moved from our longstanding home in Sutton Hill to Strickland House in Wellington, and November saw a further move.

"Telford Mind is now based at Court Street Medical Practice in Madeley. Our trained staff offer one-to-one meetings with anyone coping with mental health problems and distress between 10am and 2.30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. No appointment is needed – just ask at the medical centre reception.

"Drop in sessions are also held at Park Lane Community Centre in Woodside, Brookside Community Centre and Hub on the Hill in Sutton Hill. Details of days and times are on our Facebook page.

"We are hoping to extend our services within Telford, so if you are involved with a community centre or a business or school and would like to offer mental health support but don’t know where to start, please contact us.

"Telford Mind is a registered charity and we are also looking to recruit new members who are interested in mental health provision and would be able to come to our next annual meeting on Tuesday, January, 16. Members don’t have to take an active role in running Mind, but extra help is always welcome.

"To contact us about our services, to talk about what we might be able to offer your business or school or because you’re interested in becoming a Telford Mind member, please ring us on 07434 869248 or email talk2@telford-mind.co.uk."
