Force is strong with Telford Star Wars fan Lee as he loses weight to wear suit

As an avid fan of all things Star Wars it was always Lee Massey’s dream to fit into the perfect Stormtrooper suit.

Two years ago, the 45-year-old, who lives in Lightmoor Village, Telford, decided to build the iconic suit.

However, Mr Massey was overweight and to make it 100 per cent accurate, he needed to make some modifications not just to the kit but to his body too.

Now after undergoing the Cambridge Weight Plan and meeting his target weight, his project is complete and he even attended the premiere for the new film at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

He said: “I found the Cambridge Weight Plan very easy to apply in my work environment. I would whizz up a milkshake in the morning at home, adding ice and then take it to work for breakfast. I also increased my water intake.

“Then at lunch I would make a soup and drink this along with some water. There is plenty of choice of products to choose from. I often had chicken or fish with a rice based product in the evening with spinach, broccoli and mushrooms.”

Mr Massey had gradually gained weight over past 15 years, living with friends it was his normal routine to go out more than three times per week to pubs and clubs, often having food afterwards - exercise wasn't on the agenda at the time.

This led to a steady increase in weight which meant he had to buy new clothes to match his increasing waistline.

Some years later, he met his wife and settled down to start a family.

He peaked at his heaviest weight as a result of comfortable living, eating the children’s sweets and finishing their left over food.

In May 2015, decided to build the Stormtrooper Armour Kit and spent many hours and late nights assembling and adjusting the kit and was cleared to start trooping with a fan based organisation in the September.

After attending numerous Comicon and charity events, he wanted to get his armour as screen accurate as possible and needed to make modifications to the kit to obtain a higher level of screen accurate costume.

To fit into the kit, he quickly lost a stone and a half and reached his target weight. He was then able to modify his kit and achieved a certificate for the highest level of accuracy.

Having both achieved success with Cambridge Weight Plan, his wife has now trained and qualified as an Independent Consultant based in Lightmoor Village, Telford providing one to one support to clients to help them achieve their weight loss goals.
